Business Certifications Overview

SDO Certification

The State Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) offers a free certification for eligible firms. SDO Certification demonstrates that a business is owned and dominantly controlled by adult minority, women, Portuguese, or veteran principals who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

DCAMM Certification

Certain town projects require certification from the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). These projects include the construction of public buildings, roads and highways, sewer and public works, and others.

SBPP Certification

The State of Massachusetts established the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) to encourage agencies to purchase goods and services from small businesses. If you meet the requirements, you may be eligible to be listed in COMMBUYS as a SBPP, and receive notifications from state buyers. SBPP vendors also receive access to training and networking opportunities.
