What is SDO Certification?
The State Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) offers a free certification for eligible firms. SDO Certification demonstrates that a business is owned and dominantly controlled by adult minority, women, Portuguese, or veteran principals who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Why is SDO certification important?

Businesses must be ongoing and independent groups, and eligible to participate in state programs.
The SDO certifies for-profit firms located in Massachusetts and out-of-state, and Massachusetts-based non-profit organizations.
You can be certified as one or more of the following: Minority Owned Business, Woman Owned Business, Portuguese Owned Business, and Veteran Owned Business.
